1st Grade Consecration...

Usually on Friday nights all I can think about is getting home and relaxing, but going to a special Shabbat service always makes it worth it. A few months ago Jordan's class had their1st grade Consecration. It was such a special evening and it was so great seeing Jordan on stage singing with his friends. Each child got a certificate and a small Torah. There is something so special about going to Friday night services after a crazy and full week. I love sitting down and reflecting on the week and thinking how blessed and lucky I am. It is so easy to get caught up in the craziness of life, but sometimes stepping on the brakes is a good thing.

Sandi's 40th in Vegas.....

We packed up and headed to Vegas for Sandi's 40th birthday. It was a weekend filled with fun, laughter, gambling, good food, a show, drinks and lots of memories. We made a rode trip out of it and arrived in Vegas in just four hours. We were anticipating it to be crazy in Vegas because the Heart Radio Festival was there but it wasn't that bad. We stayed at Sandi's timeshare and managed to stay away from most of the crowded areas. We walked the strip and looked at many of the sights. We even went up to the Eiffel Tower and enjoyed the beautiful view from up there. Happy 40th Sandi!!!!

Jordy and Daddy go to the Wiggles!.......

I am saying this in writing so I have proof, we are OFFICIALLY done going to any Wiggles concert. We have seen the Wiggles at least five times and we are done....... Jordy and Daddy had a date together and went to see the Wiggles and their new team members. Daddy even waited at the stage door with Jordy so he could meet some of the Wiggles. He has the BEST Dad ever!

Mom Comes Home and Jewish Holiday Celebrations....

I can't believe its the end of November and we just celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday. I am sitting up in Pinetop at a wonderful cabin and thought it was a perfect time to update the last few months.

Mom and Tom came back from there trip at the beginning of September just in time for us to celebrate the Jewish holidays. It was wonderful to have them back and spend the day cooking in the kitchen with my Mom. We also attended the Children's Services at Temple which is always a special time. I love looking at the pictures each year to see how much J & J have grown.

5th Anuual J-Crew Labor Day Weekend 2013...

Wow! We plan all year for our Annual J-Crew Labor Day trip and it came and went. This year we decided to venture down to Tucson and visit a resort down there. In May the girls all gather with the Sunday paper and choose our top three resorts that we would like to try and go to. Then we break it down and see which hotel has the best deals. So, this year it was the Westin La Paloma that we chose. We also stayed three nights instead of our usual two since we were heading down to Tucson.

The guys had a great day golfing and the girls also enjoyed a spa day. We were a little worried that the weather was going to be a problem but it actually cooperated and we had two gorgeous pool days. We planned dinners and enjoyed going to Zin Burger, Firebirds and El Charro.

The kids had a blast and the parents enjoyed some fun and R & R. It's time to start thinking about where we will go next year..... Until next time.....

Happy Celebrations and Randoms...

The last few weeks have flown by and I can't believe it is September already. I love this time of year and especially in Arizona because it means the cooler weather is around the corner.

It seemed like we were busy every weekend in August. We had a friend's Mom's 80th birthday followed by another special occasion, a 50th wedding anniversary of another friend. It is so wonderful to celebrate happy times with friends that mean so much. Over the last decade my family has "shrunken" and being able to celebrate and make new memories means more than it ever did to me.

We are fully back into school mode and it's serious stuff this year. Jayden has hit the pavement running with fourth grade and Jordan is also learning a lot and getting into the homework groove. I started my new position (training) this week and am really enjoying it. I am at a new branch and have a great "mentor" manager that I am with for the next few months. It is very strange to go in at 8am and leave at 5pm. I must say it is very nice and I am going to take advantage of it while I can.
