Mondays & Fridays...

My two craziest days of the week are M & F's because those are now my long days at work. The old days of being off at 1:30 and working four days are long gone now. They left when WAMu vanished and became Chase. So, this past Monday, Mike said without any asking that he would make dinner. I gladly said okay and came home to this wonderful Chicken Sitr Fry. (Sorry the pictures are dark, I took five and these two were the best).

He always whips up these awesome dinners and amazes me. I know that if Mike's schedule permitted I would have a helper in the kitchen with me. Not only did he make the stir fry, he was brave enough to take out our Rice Cooker that he has never used. I am like, "how did you know what to do", he says, I called Caroline and she told me. I was very impressed again. And, I have to tell you the last two times I have used this new rice cooker my rice came out mushy.... Not his, perfect!

Thanks babe, for making my long works days a little easier. I love you!

Happy Birthday Kona!

Today is Kona's birthday and he turned two! He was sitting so nicely, so I thought I would capture a shot of him on his birthday. I don't talk about Kona that often, but I have to admit he is getting MUCH better. Kona and I have a very strange relationship. How should I put it, we will say, love and dislike..... He causes me constant work, with vacuuming, picking up my decorative pillows from the floor, and his hair that is attached too everything in the bottom level of the house. But, at the end of the day, Kona is now a BIG part of our family.... And, his bark does protect me and the boys when Mike is at work.

Valentine's 2010...

Happy Valentine's Day! It's been a really fun morning at the Callison's. We had a visit this weekend from Grandma and Grandpa from San Diego, so the boys are enjoying some quality time with them.

We started out the morning with the boys opening a little Valentines' gift from Mommy and Daddy. Jordy loved his Valentine Yo Gabba Gabba book and Jayden loved his Phineus and Ferb book. And, of course V-day would not be the same without some sweets in the bag as well. Then we had fun making some heart cupcakes and now the boys are off to the park having fun in the Arizona sunshine... Oh yeah, did I mention it is going to be 75 degress today, and it is February....

Brunch with Friends

A few weeks ago we enjoyed a wonderful Sunday morning brunch over at the Ortega's. Shanti's parents were in town and we all got together to schmooze and enjoy some time with each other. As I have mentioned in the past, Mike and I are always two ships passing, so when we get to do things as a family it is really nice. The guys were hanging out watching football, Jayden and Josh were content on the computer, Jordy was watching his Wiggles as usual, and the girls were all catching up. It was a great Sunday morning!

A Long Overdue Family Night Together...

Life has been a little crazy over at our house because Mike has been doing some traveling for work. Oh, maybe I should not of started on this subject. Did I mention in the past month every time Mike has left one of the boys has gotten sick. I don't just mean a little cold, no I got left with pink eye and double ear infections, sinus infections, full body hive breakout, and did I mention my favorite..... Vomit!

So, tonight the four of us had dinner for the first time in weeks together and afterwards the boys had a little fun. I love seeing J & J playing with each other and just having fun together. It was a great night at the Callison's....

It's Been Way Too Long...

Where does the time go??? I can't believe how long it has been since I posted, I keep telling myself I am going to forget all these memories and that is what this blog was supposed to be all about... :)

Let's see if I can remember where we have been over the last few months.... We had Hanukkah, Christmas, New Years Eve, School field trips, Star of the week, Shabbat dinners, Mike's birthday, and many fun Arizona winter days.

I think that catches you up as to where the Callison's have been the last few months.... Now I can breathe and start posting normal size posts again.. Hope everyone is having a great 2010 so far!
